Ballet is a classical dance form characterized by grace and precision of movement and by elaborate formal gestures, steps, and poses. Ballet classes perform ballet dances during the end of year recital.
Lyrical dance literally emerged from one’s expressing the “lyrics” of a song through dance. It often blends ballet and jazz styles to form an emotional, fluid dance form. This class performs a lyrical dance during the end of year recital.
Tap is a dance performed wearing shoes with metal taps, recognized by rhythmic tapping of the toes and heels. Tap classes perform tap dances during the end of year recital.
Hip-Hop originated as a street dance, very urban, very funky. Younger hip-hop classes express lots of style and rhythm, as they achieve simple coordination goals. As levels increase, more detail is given to style and execution of movements. This class performs a hip-hop dance during the end of year recital. Dancers who would like additional performing experience should look into the “electricks” hip-hop group.
Although Tumbling and Acro is essential viewed as gymnastics it can also be recognized as a form of dance. Technique and skills learned in this class can better help a dancer with their flexibility and balance. It also adds to their levels and abilities.

Starting dance at the age of 3 Ms. Jerleen has loved dancing for many years. Scoring a lead role in her very first recital performing next to dancers twice her age. Performing for artist, concerts, and conventions in New York and South Florida. Later on she incorporated her love for Early childhood with her love of dance by beginning programs to teach children as young as 1 year old how to dance.Now Simply Inspired has a performance group, classes for younger children, and enrichment programs offered at schools, and community groups.
Hip Hop Instructor:
Trained in Different forms of dance Ms. Shanice has performed on many stages in a variety of dance styles. Her passion for Hip Hop supersedes all others and it definitely shows in her teachings. Ms. Shanice is also a Nutritionist and is passionate about helping individuals take care of their bodies in all walks of life. We are so glad to have her as part of the Inspired Family.
Tap/Jazz/Musical Theater Instructor: Mr. Bryan
Joining us in 2021 Mr. Bryan is highly trained in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Musical Theater and more. He was a professional dancer for many years performing on stages throughout the United States. Later on in his career he opened up Razr Dance which is based in the Northern states. It is still active and in operation today. He has been a judge on the competition circuit and even owns a conventions that pu;;s in many dancers from around the country.
Teresa began her ballet training in Norway many, many years ago. Her strict and technical training made her a great candidate to get paid to perform as a child which she did through her school years. She contnued her dance career learning other styles but primarily focusing classical ballet with a strong emphasis on proper technique. She attended The Norwegian Ballet College majoring in Ballet. Out of school she began teaching in Norway and followed through when she moved to California. Now as a married mother of 2 young children she wants to continue sharing her vast knowledge of ballet.
Aftercare Program Coordinator:
Spending many years in the childcare field Ms. Shea has served many roles. She has worked in the classroom going from assistant teacher to lead teacher. Eventually she went from Aftercare Supervisor to Assistant Director. Shea has been a dance mom since 2013 and has volu We are happy to have her take our aftercare program to the next level.
Starting out as dance mom Ms. Christine has worked as office admin for a church and preschool. As a dance mom Ms. Christine was such an amazing backstage mom who showed strength at organizing and get things done. Ms. Christine joined Simply Inspired to bring her strong creativity and innovativeness to bring us to the next level.
